A “Friends” Advent Calendar is Here, and Even the Holiday Armadillo Would Love It
Cue Janice’s signature “Oh! My! God!”: a “Friends” advent calendar is officially here. Available on October 27, “Friends: The Official Advent Calendar: The One With the Surprise” is available for pre-order now for under $20 on Amazon—and it’s on sale, too. Yes, Christmas is still several months away, but the advent calendar from Insight Editions is quite the jolly news given that production on HBO Max’s much-anticipated “Friends” reunion has been indefinitely halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In true advent calendar fashion, “Friends: The Official Advent Calendar” has 25 pockets that countdown to Christmas with a selection of “Friends”-themed ornaments, trinkets, and keepsakes. And, obviously, Ross Geller’s Holiday Armadillo (channeled by the paleontologist in an effort to teach his son Ben all about Hanukkah and his Jewish roots) also makes a special appearance. There’s also Chandler Bing in his Santa Claus suit and Joey Tribbiani in his Christmas Superman outfit. Could this be any more festive?
Insight Editions’ “Friends” advent calendar comes after the brand debuted an official “Friends” cookbook back in July, set to be released in September. Titled “Friends: The Official Cookbook,” the cookbook is also available for pre-order now on Amazon and features fun, niche recipes that reference the hit NBC sitcom. Monica’s Friendsgiving Feast, Joey’s Meatball Sub, Janice’s Oh. My. Gawd Pancakes, Rachel’s Beef Trifle, and Phoebe’s Grandmother’s Cookies are some of the festive recipes included.
A Thanksgiving feast with recipes from the official “Friends” cookbook and a countdown to Christmas with an official “Friends” advent calendar? Even Ross Geller’s Holiday Armadillo would be excited about these festive offerings this holiday season.
