Q: Hi, Hope you can help me! I'm a student who is going to graduate soon. I will be moving to a new city for my job. The room I am moving into is shown in the picture. I want to furnish my room as a nice cozy place. But I am on a strict budget.

I will not even have a car when I move. I will have to rely on online shopping or public transport for my purchases. I will have a week after I move in to start my new job. So I would like to work on my bedroom in that week. I am willing to spend $200-$250 on a mattress. But I don't want to buy a bed frame. Would the 'mattress on the floor' idea work? I would also like to cover the blinds with curtains. But the apartment has a no-drill policy. I am looking for some lamp shades, side table, bean bag or plush chair etc. I would like to keep my budget within $500-$600. I would be grateful for all the help.
