The most printed book of our time, the IKEA catalog, has never been properly reviewed—until now. IKEA had German literary critic Hellmuth Karasek give his honest opinion about this important work.
Karasek's take? He's a bit bewildered about the lack of protagonists. "The people have to squeeze in between the furniture, they have very little to say and what they do say is hardly coherent – and yet the book is such a huge success."
And when asked whether people should read it, he quotes Goethe: "What suits one may not suit all."
