In the world of Pinterest and DIY blogs, there's still something special about a craft book. Pick one up and you just might find a project you've never seen before. Plus, these books are lasting treasures that can grace your coffee table or bookshelf vignette, loved for years to come. Here are a few of my favorites to get you started on your craft and DIY home projects.

1. Moving their colorful blog onto printed pages, Elsie and Emma are releasing a book to help you craft your space into something cheerful. A Beautiful Mess's Happy Handmade Home: A Room-by-Room Guide to Painting, Crafting and Decorating a Cheerful, More Inspiring Space, by Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman / Potter Style 2014.

2. Remember this great "Bohemian-Preppy" house tour? Well, Blair Stocker now has her own wonderfully crafted book to help you create and recycle your space! Wisecraft: Turning Thrift Store Finds, Fabric Scraps and Natural Objects Into Stuff You Love by Blair Stocker / Running Press 2014.

3. A curated marvel, Lena Corwin's new book focuses mostly on creating intricate and inspired textiles for your home. Lena Corwin's Made by Hand: A Collection of Projects to Print, Sew, Weave, Dye, Knit or Otherwise Create by Lena Corwin / Stewart, Tabori & Chang 2013.

4. An Apartment Therapy favorite, Young House Love's book isn't exactly new, but is definitely worth picking up! Spruce up your home with their simple, inspired ideas. Young House Love: 243 Ways to Paint, Craft, Update & Show Your Home Some Love by Sherry and John Petersik / Artisan, 2012.
