Giant Treehouse Restaurant in Japan

While this giant tree house isn't necessarily green, it does attempt to bring the essence of nature to the middle of the city. Located in Okinawa, Japan, the life-size banyan tree towers above neighboring building and features a panoramic view.

The tree-house is constructed from concrete and houses the Naha Harbor Diner, featuring pan-Asian cuisine. The restaurant is accessed via an in-trunk elevator, or a spiral staircase around back. Meals are prepared with locally grown and organic harvested food "fresh from the farm."
