I’ve used the magic of GIFS to show how adding pattern with wallpaper can affect the feel of a room…but wallpaper isn’t the only way to shake up your style. Pattern can be used on pillows, accessories and more, all with great impact. Need proof? Let the magic of GIFS persuade you to pick pattern!

Kathy’s Modern, Eclectic Vibes This military family currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan live in a little three-bedroom rental right on the Pacific Ocean. “The house has white floors, cabinets and walls, so it was the perfect canvas to showcase our style.” Kathy added pattern to the kitchen cabinets with gorgeous floral removable wallpaper from Walls Need Love. And small plus signs could easily be added to any wall with tape!

Meg’s ’80s Flashback in Chicago is a perfect example of how pattern on large pieces of furniture (and not just small accessories) can really wow.

A Dreamy, Bright Top Floor Paris Apartment has an all-white bedroom just screaming for color and pattern. When I made the GIF above, I added a few solid color options first. You can see how a bold color is a great addition to this neutral space. But you can see how choosing pattern makes it pop just a bit more!

In Rebecca & Jared’s Eclectic Hollywood Regency, you can see that pattern on pattern on pattern can steal the show, even in a room with a lot of other attention-grabbing design elements in it.
