Give The Gift Of Spoons (It's Cooler Than You Think)

I came across this beautiful photo of these precious wood burned spoons and I knew that I would instantly be making them for a few friends and family members. It's heartfelt and inexpensive, so what does this have to do with children you ask? Only the sweetest gift ever!

Over the years of gift giving, it's become quite clear that Grandparents like one very specific thing for a gift. They like being reminded that they're Grandparents. So when I came across these spoons, I first thought about wood burning hip and modern things on them for friends and younger family members, but then I thought about kids. Wait? What? Younger kids probably shouldn't be wood burning!

Agreed. So why not have them draw you a picture instead. Draw a shape roughly the size of your wooden utensil and then have them draw you something inside. It could be instructed, like their name or a picture of them and then you lovingly take that small drawing and using a piece of charcoal paper, transfer the design to the utensil.

Everyone wins, it doesn't break the bank and it's completely heartfelt. Plus, each time your kids help Grandma make cookies with the spoon they made, it will be a sweet little moment. If you're not into making them yourself, head on over to Tigerlillystudio on Etsy where they're ready to custom make any spoon you so desire! Score!
