IKEA says: Let us introduce a modern-looking side table that’s small and flexible enough to be placed anywhere in the home. GLADOM tray table is made from smooth metal in soft and dusty yellow or green. It comes with a removable tray that looks nice by itself placed on the floor or wherever it’s used for serving.

What We Predict: These GLADOM tables are already pretty damn adorable and useful, but consider spray paint cans loaded, locked and aimed in their direction. Given the ease of this simple project, you can expect to see bronze ones, black ones, and ones covered in every patterned contact paper known to the retail world. And maybe some gold leaf.

And then there’s base of the tray itself, which is customizable in so many ways. Dream Green DIY lined hers with coils of rope for a natural nautical look, but think patterned paper, or a mod-podged fabric base.
