Our second blogger tryout post is a submission from a tandem team hailing from New York. Tell us what you think of Jaime Soper and Oliver Jevremov's product review below!
It was really by accident–or should we say by direct email marketing campaign–that we came across the Glif. We were captivated by a sleek photos during it's funding phase on Kickstarter and whether it was the diversity of uses, the recent purchase of our iPhone4, or Tom and Dan's adorable faces that won us over we became contributors to the project.
Sure enough Tom and Dan raised nearly fourteen times their $10,000 goal and a few short weeks later we were playing with one of our own. As advertised it connects your phone to your tripod, acts as a stand for FaceTime conferencing and for reading your favorite blogs. Without over-complicating the model it nicely fulfills a need for most video and designers using their iPhone for added content gathering.
Pros: Small, portable, and well produced
Cons: While attractive and functional it only works for the iPhone4; all other phone and model users will be out of luck
