Go Green Expo: 5 Things We Really Liked

Not sure what to expect, we were thrilled with the sustainable lifestyle resources available to us at the expo. Booth after booth, there were options to green your life and kick old habits to the curb. We picked our favorite five that we could see translating in our own home--after the jump.

We featured Sherry and Miguel's living wall in their Marvimon House Tour this past Fall. We'd love to incorporate a living wall in our space (apparently living walls are great for insulating and reducing the amount of cooling costs in the summer). Plus they work great for soundproofing your walls--take that loud neighbor!

The benefits of this paint are endless but our favorite part is that they use eggshells to create this odorless and eco-friendly paint

We were definitely impressed with the extended amount of options for choosing a sofa at The Sofa Company. Not only do they have green furniture options on their website, all of their products are made right here in California (smaller carbon footprint).

We stopped using paper towels earlier this year and have relied heavily on a pack of washcloths from Target to mop up all our spills. So when we saw the SKOY friendly earth cloth, we thought that it might be a better option than our wash cloths. First of all, it saves 15 rolls of paper towels and is 100% biodegradable and natural. We definitely like that is absorbs 15 times its own weight--and the SKOY is inexpensive.

While the Ecosmart fire is out of our budget right now, we love the fact that you don't need a flue or hard connection to make your space cozy and warm during the winter months (making it ideal for apartment dwellers).

The Go Green Expo is coming to NYC, Atlanta, and Philadelphia in the upcoming months if you'd like to check it out.
