We're squeezing out the last bits of summer but a rain storm every now and then has kept us inside. On those occasions we always thought it would be nice to do some baking but, despite crossed fingers, always was missing an ingredient or two.
Then we spotted this idea on the Small Notebook - making your own pre-measured baking mixes! Just gather a bunch of glass jars (or ziploc bags or other container of choice). Measure out your dry ingredients (hold the yeast) in assembly line fashion. Label your containers and you've got the base mixes for your favorite recipes right at your fingertips. Just add your wet ingredients when you're ready to bake.
