Good Questions: Nice Garbage Cans Under $200?

Dear AT,

Why are garbage cans $200? We've been looking for months, and would love to find a self-closing, tall, good looking garbage can that doesn't cost $200. Even better, one that has a recycling compartment... what you got AT?

Dear Jimbo,

Initially, this felt like a job for, but when we got there, the most interesting thing we found was an infrared bin that opens without touching it (operating on batteries, which all seems a little over the top!). So we kept looking in hopes to find the ever-important recycling and trash bin combined, and we spotted this stainless steel one at Target ($99.99, pictured above).

One thing that seems like an absolute: If you want it to look good and accomodate recycling, it's going to cost at least $100, but we think you can stay far below the $200 that's been driving you in circles.

Anyone else? Suggestions welcome! We're on the hunt for a good one for our kitchen, too...
