Good Questions: Metal Chandelier Scavenger?

Good Questions: Metal Chandelier Scavenger?

Hello AT,

This is Grace from Design*Sponge. I'm having a major apt problem and wanted to see if I could ask your readers for help?

I'm moving into a new apt and want to recreate the look in this Domino magazine installation of a designer's home in California in my own (MUCH smaller) kitchen.

I'm looking for a chandelier like the one pictured- it doesn't nec. need to be white (because I can spray paint it), but I'm trying to find something vaguely similar in the under $250 price range...I was wondering if anyone knew?

I'm also looking for black knobs for my white cabinets in fun shapes, you know, fish, acorns, something of the sort (like the picture). Perhaps someone knows about that, too?

Thanks so very much! I know your readers will have some great ideas!

Dear Grace,

It's so nice to see what the Design*Sponge wants at home and to see that it's not half as modern as all the great stuff on your site. As for where to find that chandelier, this shouldn't be an expensive item, just hard to find. We had one in our house growing up and they were pretty common in the 70's, 80's.

We would look on the upper east side shops along Lexington in the 70's, the Hell's kitchen flea market, Ebay and Craigslist in places like Florida and California, Shabby Chic, Anthropologie, and vintage shops like Olde Good Things and Restoration Antiques. Anyone else....?
