Sarah emailed us: "I'm moving into a fabulous apartment that has a small patio, looking for some furniture that is comfortable, but stylish. This has been tough to find, as I only have room for two chairs and a shared tabled. Any recommendations??"

Sarah, congratulations on the new apartment and getting some outside space. It's a good time to shop for outdoor furniture...

For a modern patio, we really like the Pix table by Peter Shaffner from DWR (above) available in green, red or black. It comes in two sizes, Cafe ($200.) or Side ($100.). It can be disassembled and stored flat during the off season. We might pair it with two Ronde Armchairs ($89) by Aldo Ciabatti, a typical European cafe seating choice.

Two other (completely different) looks:

The Parisian Park Dining Set from Smith and Hawken with armchairs on sale, $279.

For a more traditional look that maximizes small spaces, a two-seater for $189. from Overstock

Anyone have any recommendations/ideas for Sarah? Please let us know in the comments...
