Good Questions: How Can I Put Casters on My Squat Bench?

Nov 30, 2007

hi there,

i have the squat module bench from vessel and have been using it as a coffee table for some time... i used it as a bench in our old place and really love it, but i have a few issues...

...1) i am finding it is too short for the height of our sofa, and 2) i store magazines in the compartments, but find that when i need to vacuum the rug underneath it is pretty cumbersome to move when full (which is most of the time).

i would like to attach casters to the bottom for added height and mobility, but i am not sure how to attach them. i would still like to keep the cubbies open for storage, but would epoxy hold on the aluminum? any thoughts on how to attach casters to this kind of surface? maybe there is some sort of flush fastener i don't know about?

thanks for your help,

We called Vessel to ask their advice, but we haven't heard back from them. Whenever we've put casters on furniture, we've actually asked the people at the hardware store for their tips. But perhaps our readers can help? Anyone?
