Dear AT:HT,

I placed our TV on the mantle to simulate if it were mounted above our fireplace. It hurt our neck, and we cannot place the facing sofa back any further due to the wall behind it. Any furniture suggestions so that we could put the TV in front of a fireplace? Please help.

Thanks,
Virdi

Our first thought was why not but the TV in the fireplace, if you really aren't going to use it and are pressed for space. But we don't know the dimensions, and all the details so that may not work. In our search for finding a photograph to illustrate your problem, we came across this solution on Flickr. We immediately recognized it as this console table from World Market. Maybe that's a better height?

Anyone else have some words of wisdom?

Thanks for your question!
