Good Questions: Lighting Solution for the Sofa Area?

Sumita sent us an email: Slowly but surely I am trying to get my place to a point where I like everything I have and am happy with the way it looks. Right now I am focusing on lighting. I had two cheap target lamps (you can see one on the right corner of the photo, near the tv.) However I wanted something more modern and nicer, so I just recently got the CB2 arc lamp. I think I'm happy with the way it looks, but since I don't have any overhead lighting, I think i may need something else as it is too dark...

After looking at AT archives, I thought I could do one of two things. I could place a CB2 can light in the corner by the tv with a plant in front of it, but am afraid this won't be enough light. The other idea is to get the Target white trumpet side table, and place it in the corner by the tv with a small table lamp. Any thoughts??

Of course the other option is to just replace the arc lamp with a regular upright and have one on either side of the window. I can get the CB2 upright with similar shade. That just seems too simple? I attached a photo of the kane floor lamp I could use. I'm not too keen on the idea though, as its similar to what i had, but a nicer fixture.
