Good Questions: Layout for Quirky Bowfront?

Does anyone have furniture layout tips for the standard triple-decker front room? You know, bay window, one small doorway on the side and large double doorway to the dining room with the built-in hutch. All over Somerville and JP everyone's got this quirky floorplan — I figure there must be some ideas out there!

In any case, where to put the TV, loveseat, couch, etc, eludes me - the walls are such strange sizes and there is only one full wall which sort of limits the whole ordeal. We'd like to get new furniture and not sure what combo would suit this space. Thanks! Candice

Decorating in and around a living room bay window is a challenge most urban apartment dwellers face at least once in life. We've dealt with it twice in two very different ways — once incorporating the curve entirely into the layout by placing a chair and small table in the bay and once cutting it off entirely by positioning a large sofa directly in the middle.

Anyone else have specific solutions for furniture layout for this shape room?
