Good Questions: Where to Go for Crown Moulding?

Hi AT Chicago,

I am considering putting up some crown moulding in our master bedroom and our baby's room. I have no idea where to start. We will probably hire someone to put it up, but the initial question is where can we go to purchase the crown moulding? We are not looking for anything too complicated or fancy. Any ideas on where to purchase would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Dear Pam,

The first thing to pop up in our search was Moulding & Millwork, which seems to have a large presence nationwide (so we're hoping someone might have a firsthand review). This family-owned company was established in 1926, and "has become one of the largest suppliers of wood mouldings in North America, including pine, oak, hemlock, mahogany, maple, cedar and MDF mouldings."

Locally, they're at:
777 Chase Ave; Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 (t. 847.640.6500)

Any other suggestions?
