Good Questions: Toilet Rings?
I can’t get rid of the ring in my toilet. It is the color of rust and an hour after I clean it, it starts to appear again. I’ve put the 2000 flushes toxic puck in the back of the toilet and now I have the stain plus a bleach smell. yuck. Any ideas?
Thanks! Robyn Ryan
We only know what the Great God Google knows:
Tip King: Paste of lemon juice and borax. Allow to set before scrubbing.
EHow: For stubborn stains like a darker ring caused by hard water, use a pumice stone. It will not harm the toilet bowl.
EHow:To clean a badly stained toilet when nothing else works, empty water from toilet at night. Line the bowl with paper towels, then saturate towels with industrial-strength cleaner. Let sit overnight, then flush in the morning and scrub with pumice or brush.
ThriftyFun: 43 years ago my inlaws lived in Minnesota and they had water so rusty the clear glasses in the house were a rust tint. The sinks and bathroom fixturess were all sparkling white. They used ZUD. It is around the scouring and cleaning products and you may have to check out several stores. It will have a bad egg smell when you use it and like all other cleaning products do not mix them up. Wet area to be cleaned, apply ZUD, scrub with wet cloth and let set for awhile for the product to do the work. Scrub as you rinse clean and rinse well. It is a winner!
