Good Questions: Where Can I Find This Media Console?

Any readers think they can aid Amy in her search for the perfect media console table search?

Hi Unplggd,

I saw this side table over at Emma's Design blog a few days ago and have been relentlessly looking for it (or even a similar alternative would work), but haven't had any luck whatsoever. I'm looking to put a 32" LCD TV on top of it, along with a turntable and bookshelf speakers.

I mainly like the skinny legs and color since it matches my decor, so anything with a similar profile would be spectacular! Have you guys seen it anywhere? I need help!

We're not too sure ourselves, but it does look a lot like Knoll's Florence credenza featuring a walnut cabinet with four locking sliding doors and leather pulls, but replaced with custom metal-looking ones. This model was made sometime in the 1960's, so you would probably have to do some old furniture store digging if you want to get the exact piece seen in the picture above.

Or, you could always invest in a brand new Florence Knoll Credenza ($10,241). Of course, that is if pricing isn't of a concern.

You may also keep in mind that many of these new and old credenzas usually do not have media holes in the back for wiring, so you might have to drill into it and create your own. Though personally, if we spent over 10k on a piece of furniture, we wouldn't even risk bringing a butter knife near the thing.

Any readers out there have some alternative recommendations for Amy?
