Good Resource: Set Decorator's Society of America

It's safe to say that we're all suckers for glossies--Domino, Blueprint, Real Simple, Elle Decor, etc.--and to be honest, there's a lot of overlap in styles and featured items (ie, that pagoda-ish end table that was featured in all the magazines at the same time). And because I watch a lot of TV (no, I did not watch the premiere of America's Next Top Model, but I am already addicted to Gossip Girl. The OC + Cruel Intentions = me on a sofa), there are times when I ignore the plotline and say, "WHERE CAN I GET THAT CHAIR?" Which is where Set Decor quarterly comes in handy.

Even if you aren't a couch potato like yours truly, but you're burnt out on the usual decor mags, this is a pretty awesome resource for inspiration and eye-candy. My only complaint is that unlike the usual magazine staples, this quarterly doesn't go into detail about where you can get similar pieces for each set featured (they do, however, spotlight one set per issue).

Download the issues here or check out the site for special features, interview with set decorators, and resources.
