Google Launches Google eBookstore With 3 Million Titles

Heads up, eBook readers: the Google eBookstore has launched with over 3 million books available for download (for comparison, Amazon offers 650,000 titles for download). Like the Amazon Kindle and Apple iBooks, the store is a mix of purchasable titles and free titles from the likes of Dickens, Melville and Jane Austen. The Google eBooks store is obviously compatible with Android devices, but also with Apple iOS devices, Barnes and Noble Nook, Sony eReaders, web browsers and certain eReaders. Things are going to get interesting for Amazon and Barnes & Noble now.
