By now, everybody knows that the green movement is red-hot! And while most of us are embracing the new craze, it’s easy to get lost in the sea of information cropping up. The non-profit Green Building Institute (GBI) wants to make sure you’re getting it right. The GBI’s mission is “to foster sustainable building practices through education and example.” And GBI plans to do just that with its 4-part series on going green, launching in Baltimore today….

Based in Maryland, GBI’s core courses provide a solid foundation and basic understanding of green building theory and practice for both professionals and individuals. Course topics for its Baltimore run include Building the Green Economy, Buying a Green Home, Renewable Energy for Your Home and Business, and Catching the Rain. The course is held in The Can Company, which is an adaptive reuse project in the Canton neighborhood, and represents green building. And if Baltimore is too far for you to travel, they are also offering the course in DC and Silver Spring at a later date. For more information or to register, click here.
