Green Move #1: Our first green move was cloth diapering our first son we then purchased front load water saver washer and dryer after that came with water consumption in mind we switched our regular 2.5 bathroom faucet areator to a .05 spray flow areator as show in the picture below...

Green Move #1:

we also switched our 2.5 shower head for a 2.0 filter hand held shower head, our biggest move yet was switching our toilet to Toto's dual flush toilet and washlet with warm seat and bun dryer so we or i use less toilet tissue. We recycle our bottles, glass ,cans, paper and plastics, we have also switched all of our light bulbs to CFS ones and will be placing ceiling fans, we do have two energy star air conditioners but only run them if were in that room and when we have people over. We have also switched to eco friendly household cleaners and personal care products. Our baby eats mostly organic foods, and we hang dry our cloths outside when weather permits.

Green Move #2:

A little after our son was born we went out and purchased new windows mostly sliding windows for that extra breeze for our very old home they have a tint to them we have notices that its not that hot any more in the summers and the draft is gone.

Biggest Challenge/Frustration:

My husband wants a water barrel to water our plants and trees this is his green idea but removing the water when it's full is back breaking we have to come up with a better solution but he does'nt want to spend the money ....thats frustrating.

My 17 month old son really knows that a plastic bottle is to be recycled i swear! keeps me searching for more ways of living green.
