Rebekah and Stephen Hren embarked on a serious project when they decided to give their 1932 bungalow in Durham, N.C. a green overhaul. You can purchase their book, The Carbon-Free Home: 36 Remodeling Projects to Help Kick the Fossil-Fuel Habit at Amazon. We haven't read it yet ourselves. Anyone?

Head over to Preservation's website to check out the Hren's 5 Tips to Green Your Home.
