We have seen the idea of repurposed product packaging come up before and the reactions have been mixed. Are we advocating increased consumption of "stuff" or is there really value in extending the use of something that would eventually need to be recycled or thrown out?
While things like the packaging lamp and sticky lamp make the packaging the actual product, this double duty wine box from Ciclus Design includes a compact fluorescent light bulb that turns the protective outer wood box into a table lamp of questionable brightness. What do you think? Should more of our every day products do this or should we be spending more effort in minimizing the impact of packaging all together?
