We're usually pretty skeptical of large, bling-y "green" houses. How green are they really? And isn't it greener to live in a small, simple, efficient house? We don't know, but Tom Schey's gorgeous Venice mansion definitely made us stop and think...
Schey, who is a developer and green building consultant, considers this Venice mansion his dream home. It's big and beautiful, but it's also smart.
The floors are reclaimed wood, there is an amazing green roof with solar panels, and a solar heated lap pool.
Schey makes no apologies for the more luxurious aspects of his home ... and maybe he shouldn't. Take a look at the pictures, and get more info here. What do you think?
