Greenhouse Design Studio is hitting the road this month in an Airstream Bambi (that's it, in the picture) and bringing its sustainable housewares to several cities as a pop-up shop. First stop: Southern California.
The pop-up opened Sunday at the Earth Day Festival in Alameda Park in Santa Barbara, and will appear next at the Palihotel in West Hollywood on April 23, followed by the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs on April 24; the El Cosmico Hotel in Marfa, Texas, on April 25; the Country Living Fair in Austin, Texas, from April 27 to 29; and the Hotel San Jose in Austin on April 30.
The Berkeley-based Greenhouse Design Studio launched as an online store in September 2011, offering tabletop decor and home goods that must meet husband-and-wife founders JP and Laurie Furber's three criteria: vintage, artisan-made, and crafted of sustainable materials. Among its products are vintage tea sets, hand-printed bedding, rustic wooden furniture, and eco-friendly bar soaps.
