Greening Our Habits: Tom's of Maine Toothpaste

81908_tomsnaturalcare.jpgWe've been trying to green every little detail these days, and the time came when we decided it might be time to chuck the artificially-sweetened, tooth-bleaching paste out the window (No, wait! We disposed of it responsibly.) and go for something more...natural.

Which led us to the Tom's of Maine line of personal hygiene products.

Tom's of Maine has a full line of bathroom necessities available at the grocery store, from toothpaste to floss to apricot-scented deodorant.

So, we've greened up the daily routine some more, and we like it. A lot.

Which leads us to believe that these natural, biodegradable, responsibly manufactured, good-for-the-earth, good-for-us products just might be on to something: a safe product that works and that's easy on the planet (not to mention our enamel and pores).

And, if you're wondering more specifically about certain ingredients, there is plenty of information about all of the ingredients found in Tom's products on their website.

Tom's of Maine's Whole Care line even uses recycled packaging, gives back 10% of its profits, and puts in volunteer hours.

Has anyone else delved into the world of natural hygiene products? What do you think?
