The editors of our site about homelife with children, Ohdeedoh, have just wrapped up a contest all about a subject that is just as challenging for small space dwellers as it is for busy parents - where to put all the stuff. We pulled some of the best ideas of the contest and gathered them here for the AT readers - great looking, smart reader solutions that could easily be translated into more grownup storage. Click on any of the photo links above or jump below for a closer look:

Matilda's Dresser: A basic Malm Dresser gets glammed up and goes custom as a simple DIY project.

Easy Canvas Bins, Old School Ikea: Chiara says that these Ikea storage cubes are over 25 years old (bought for her when she was a girl - the new incarnation is the Expedit) and turned out to be a good fit for canvas bins from Land of Nod. Round paper tags help identify the contents.

Sylvie's Storage Baskets: Another Ikea and Land of Nod mashup. $12.99 Ikea Lack tables combined with big Land of Nod storage baskets (a perfect fit under the tables) makes for hidden but easily accessible storage.

Super Duper Closet System: Ikea's Antonius system combined with Ikea plastic bins organize a closet that was first painted a bright cheerful hue (Lobster Bisque by Martha Stewart). Finished with a curtain instead of a door to save space and open things up.
