Own Halle Berry's Former Hollywood Hills Home For $3.8M

Golden Globe and Academy Award winner Halle Berry's former Mediterranean villa has just hit the market for $3.8 million, according to Architectural Digest. The home boasts an impressive 4,300-square-feet and sits on a third of an acre in the highly desirable Hollywood Hills.

This home is all about the #1 rule of real estate: location, location, location. Beside its prime neighborhood, the listing notes that since the home is sited above the street, it offers an "excellent sense of space and privacy." That sense of privacy is easily recognizable just by taking a peek at the home's lush backyard and pool area. Stunning city and canyon views also come courtesy of the home's lofty perch.

Inside, the three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath villa has two master suites; the primary one features a classic fireplace as well as a balcony. The home also touts an open plan design and vaulted ceilings. Natural light floods into the house via the floor-to-ceiling windows in its kitchen, living room, and dining spaces.

The simple and modern fireplace is a gorgeous stand out when set against the otherwise very traditional, italianate-inspired features of the home.

Outside, the serene pool, spa, and loggia make the home's outdoor space an ideal one for leisurely summer days spent under the sun. There is also a separate side yard which is located off of the home's dining room. A great bonus that offers additional green space.

Berry owned the home for over a decade (including when she had her historic Oscar win). She purchased it in 1994 back when the X-Men actress was married to former baseball star David Justice.

At $3.8 million, it's fair to say the home is aggressively priced. This is considering, of course, that Los Angeles' real estate market is now back at, or near, pre-recession levels and that Berry sold the home for $4.15 million in January 2006.
