Name: Harper (1)
Location: Seattle, WA
Color Inspiration: We were thrilled to be expecting a girl - so I spent HOURS on Ohdeedoh looking for inspiration. There are so many beautiful rooms out there! I began a file of rooms and objects that caught my eye... including the beautiful Butterfly Jubilee fabric by Mod Green Pod. It was the perfect mix of color, sophistication and whimsy, without being baby-ish.

Color Inspiration continued: Our good friend and incredibly talented interior designer Leah Steen (Revival Home and Garden) selected the gorgeous Manueal Canovas wallpaper. We painted the mid-century dressers (once belonging to my Mother-in-law) and splurged on our dream crib. With so much color and pattern in the room, the white furniture provides some needed relief. Framing vintage butterfly prints echo the raspberry butterflies on the curtains and bedding, without being to theme-y. We're still finding the perfect chair... but I am so in love with this room, I want to move in!

Tip for Using Color: Don't be afraid of color!! It can make a small room seem larger, a large room feel warmer and a childs room sing! If you are going with a bold color on the walls, I recommend keeping furniture lines clean and simple in a neutral color. In a childs room, anything goes! Just have fun.

Colors Used: Tip for Using Color: Wallcolor: Benjamin Moore Lemon Drops. Wallpaper: Manuel Canovas. Curtains and bedding: Mod Green Pod Butterfly Jubilee (raspberry/honey), Wee Jubilee (raspberry), F. Schumacher raspberry linen sheets. Coming soon: Kelly green upholstered chair.
