Headphone Amplifier: Get Your iPod Shuffle a Girlfriend

Unless you are among the world's ranks of audiophiles, you've probably never cared about or used a headphone amplifier. But Wikipedia tells us that headphone amplifiers allow for higher possible volumes and greater audio clarity than the smaller, cheaper amplifiers that are built-in to most audio players, and that they're worth a look for better quality sound. We think this new one is worth a look because of it's eerie iPod-shufle doppelganger attributes...

FiiO's newest E5 compact headphone amps, with the new lapel clip shuffle-style design, are eye-catching. Designed to allow you to attach it to a belt or collar, it weighs just 26 grams and won't weigh down your headphone cable.

The E5 is powered by a built-in 200mAh battery that's recharged via USB. It will retail for under $20.

We can't get over the adorable image of this amp hanging down from the neck of a walking stranger, clipped to his jacket lapel and positioned right on top of his iPod shuffle clip, like twins.

(The other perfect set of Mac-styled twins? The iClooly Aluminum iPod stand that makes the perfect Mini-Me for your iMac.)
