The New Heather Taylor Home and West Elm Collab Will Satisfy All Your Wildest Cottagecore Dreams
As a strong supporter of all things ruffled, gingham, and pastel, designer Heather Taylor hits on my dream trifecta. The creator, loved by celebs (she’s a fave of Jessica Alba’s), boasts an eponymous textile brand, Heather Taylor Home, with a colorful collection of patterned bedding, blankets, napkins, table runners, and the like. Basically, she’s a pro at putting California-cool twists on the classics (plaid! stripes! gingham!) and making everyday essentials look straight out of the English countryside (#cottagecore).
Taylor’s pieces have topped my wishlist for months, but admittedly fall a bit out of my budget. That’s why I could not keep my cool when I heard about her West Elm collaboration, which just launched today. Priced slightly lower than her norm (starting at just $24.50!), the exclusive collection includes over 100 products in some of the L.A.-based designer’s warm-hued signature prints, plus a few must-see newcomers (hello, floor-to-ceiling pattern play). There’s something for every room, from shower curtains and placemats to duvet covers and fitted crib sheets. Gear up for pretty post-pandemic outdoor entertaining, too, with a hammock, picnic basket, and printed cushions.
Really, you can’t go wrong with any piece, especially since they’re all intended to inject more fun into the everyday — something everyone could use a bit more of anyway, right?
