We'd slowly fold the piece of in half, then in half again, carefully following the instructions given to us. My sister and I would sit together and make cootie catchers and when we were done, she would write funny things inside them.
"You will marry a frog!", "You will live in a cave!", "You smell like old socks!" -- I thought it was hilarious. How would my 4-year-old self ever have guessed that I would be showing my son how to make his own cootie catcher?
