Call it red-and-green fatigue, but this year, we're simplifying our holiday color palette. We're taking inspiration from twinkling stars, shiny ornaments and strings of white lights for a simple look that sparkles — especially at the dinner table. Here are our tips for making your holiday table shine.
Test your metal. Metallic pieces like silver serving trays and brass flatware make a table shimmer and set the tone for a special meal. This season we're seeing a lot of rose gold tones, which is especially cheery and elegant.
Go snowy white. Ok, no one can resist an owl, but we always love the combination of pure white with mercury glass or other metals.
Add texture. Balance your polished metallics and smooth whites with some soft knit ornaments used as place cards.
Say "cheers." Use tree ornaments to add sparkle and shine to each place setting. And don't forget the sparkling wine, either: Bubbles make everything better!
