Q: Hi! My apartment in NYC has been a nightmare. My boyfriend and I are moving out in January but that still leaves a lot of time left. The major issue is the apartment is slanted. Like, really, really slanted. My cat is having the time of his life but decorating has been a disaster...
We hung everything with a level (doesn't account for slant) and unless you are sitting low to the ground it looks crooked, lol. The biggest problem is having to keep all the furniture on the edges of the rooms. We can't divide the room with a bookshelf without it looking like we are about to get buried by books. I was wondering if you have any decorating tips to make more of this space. It is a 1-bedroom, but the "bedroom" is very small (the bed didn't fit) and connects to the bathroom so we turned it into a walk-in closet/workspace. But again, we are limited to only one side of the wall [I think she means limited to only using one wall of the room? -Editor] so it's only a closet. Any advice to make more of this space would be amazing! -Sent by Bianca
