Q: As a military family, my spouse and I are a) often moving and b) often renting. Currently we're crammed into a poorly designed bungalow of 650 sq ft. Because of this, our main sofa is a loveseat. We hate it. We REALLY want a full size sofa. He likes the sofa with a built in chaise, whereas I like the traditional sectional. The problem is, because our surroundings are constantly changing, I don't know how to choose the type of sofa. I want something neutral that isn't beige, he wants something neutral that isn't grey...
...We also have a black cat, so white is out of the picture. This leaves... black or brown. We do enjoy mid-century modern, but that seems to be all we agree on.
Moral of the story is we are concerned about settling on a sofa that works in this house, but might not work in the next? All design factors are a concern, material, size, shape, style... Does anyone have any advice on how to approach this!? I'm at a loss!
