Best Of: The Handmade Home

Here is a small selection of five designers and artists from the last few months of The Handmade Home column. These are the posts that really inspired me and sparked my interest. So here they are again just in case you missed them the first time:

(Shown above the jump, from left to right)

1. Live Wire Farms: We've covered their products a few times, and they seem to pop up now and again with wonderful new products more charming and well-designed than the last.

2. Divine Chair Company: Kitty McBride's labor of love, incredibly individual and exotic, updated and refinished antique chairs.

3. Repurposed Antique Finnish Linens by Tuuni: Wonderful linens given a second life as elegant household items. "Tuuni" is a play on a Finnish girl's name meaning peaceful or calm, and "Tuunaus" is a word that refers to products made from recycled materials. Tuija's designs are as thoughtful and poetic as the name of her line.

4. Heather Watts: Heather's velvet paintings are in a dreamlike vintage-inspired landscape complimented by gorgeous frames often made from reclaimed, distressed materials.

5. Paris Market Line: Mary De Angelis' Paris Market line provides a fantastic organic, handmade option for personal and home care. Paris Market products capture the charm and elegance of old-world living in the French countryside.
