Herman Miller's C2

Cube farmers, rejoice! Engadget knocks office mates for not being able to agree on an office temperature but we know from personal experience that you don't often have control over what the temperature is in the first place. Enter the C2 Climate Controller from Herman Miller, which can raise the temperature as much as 40 degrees (from 72 degrees Fahrenheit), or lower it an additional 8 degrees.

It's more energy efficient--and safer--than a space heater: it uses only 1.5 amps of DC power, which is 90 percent less energy than a typical space heater.

There are no exposed heating coils, chemicals, or harmful emissions, so there is nothing to worry about if it tips over; a timer shuts it off automatically after four hours.

It also serves as an air filter, filtering out particles as small as five microns (e.g. pollen, dust, and dander); its mechanical air filtration system is 80-90 percent better than a typical home furnace. The filter within the C2 is GREENGUARD certified and reusable after cleaning.
