Hiding the Eyesore of TV Cords and Cables

We're seven days into the Apartment Therapy 20/20 Cure and we noted one of the participants posted this simple question over at our Fall 2010: Apartment Therapy 20/20 Home Cure Flickr page: Any ideas for hiding the ugly TV cords?

One of the "before" photos from beingbrook's bedroom set.

With flat panel displays being mounted here, there and everywhere in the home, dealing with dangling wires and cables is becoming more of a concern for everyday consumers. Even though hiding the cables and wires internally is the most aesthetic solution, most do not want to drill into the wall (especially renters).

There are several affordable solutions to conceal the mess, but in a situation like this where the setup only requires a short distance to hide, we'd recommend using Wiremold. The beauty with this solution is the Wiremold cord cover kit can be painted to match any interior wall color, but doesn't require any permanent installation (a stickyback keeps the cover kit in place), making it ideal for changing things up or when you might have to upgrade the setup. Also, Wiremold is easily sourced at big box retailers like Home Depot; it's where we purchased our set.
