When Hilary Duff became a mother, she began to think more seriously about the ingredients that go into everyday household essentials, including air fresheners. Some mainstream air fresheners contain fragrance-producing chemical compounds as well as artificial dyes, and Duff wanted to flip the script and create a clean air freshener that contains all-natural ingredients. 

She did just that, and now, as chief brand director of fragrance company Below 60º, she’s letting you bring the “freshest, cleanest scents on Earth” into your home, too. 

“Home is my happy place. That’s why I’m so excited to launch Below 60º, a line of natural home fragrance products that you can feel good about bringing into your space,” Duff wrote in a caption on Instagram. “Becoming a mom meant becoming more conscious and cautious about the products I use — so we’ve gone to the ends of the Earth to develop unique, 100% natural fragrances from responsibly sourced ingredients. I can’t wait to share them with you. They’re fresh and fantastic and so much fun.”

Below 60º, named after the pristine air below the 60th parallel, launched with three starring scents: Mint Disco on Ice, a blend of mint, lavender, and glacial waters; If Citrus Were a Feeling, which smells like grapefruit, lily, and sandalwood; and Vanilla Buys a Timeshare in Paradise, a tantalizing blend of pineapple, exotic coconut, and Tahitian vanilla.

All fragrances are derived from plant-based essential oils and ingredients, and the plug-in diffusers are sleek and modern and will blend into their surroundings. Each scent cartridge will last up to 30 days when set on the standard setting (or 20 days on high), and you can sign up for a subscription plan to get new cartridges delivered to your doorstep.
