Hitachi Comes Out with a Super Slim White LCD

This week, some of the big players in the tech field are showing off their wares in New York at Digital Downtown. It's a mini CES within the World Financial Center (west of the former site of the World Trade Centers). We stopped by this afternoon to see what was on display and made a beeline to this Hitachi LCD...

It's just so rare for a television to come in anything but silver or black. This 32-inch flat screen not only comes in a pearly white shade, but it has an acrylic frame around it to give it even more of that Woody Allen Sleeper feel.

The TV, which will cost ya $2K, has a 1.5 inch profile. Technorexic! With it's wall bracket (0.4 inches) the TV doesn't even pop two inches from the wall.

We want!

The Hitachi 1.5 is already available in black, but it's pearly white friend comes out in two months here in the states. According to the Hitachi guys we talked to today, the white outsells the black in Japan. Natch.
