Oh, Book! A ‘Hocus Pocus’ Sequel is Coming to Disney+
Big news for all the virgins about to light a candle: A “Hocus Pocus” sequel is in the works, and it’ll be coming to Disney+.
The announcement, first reported by Collider, comes right on time for peak Sanderson sister mania, as the original 1993 film airs every day on Freeform during the month of October. (And if you happen to be heading to Salem, Massachusetts, you can take the self-guided walking tour.)
“Hocus Pocus 2” is in the early development stages with writer Jen D’Angelo currently attached, and while original cast has not yet signed on, it’s possible that Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will reprise their roles in some way, according to Deadline.
There are a few Twitter accounts dedicated to petitioning for a sequel to the cult classic. But overall, Twitter seems skeptical. Many echoed that it’s the original cast or no dice.

Some people, though, are just plain excited.
And one person has already mapped out the franchise.
