Hole Plug: That's One Hole of An Idea

We're pretty sure we're not the only ones that have tried yanking out a plug from the wall socket by grasping the cord instead of the plug base. Personally, I recall as a child doing exactly that - pulling out a vacuum cleaner's plug using the cord alone and was pleasantly greeted with an electric shock that left me running towards my mother. It wasn't a fun experience. Not one bit. Perhaps that is why Kim Seung Woo's reinvention of the plug sounds so darn intriguing...

Imagine - it's dark, you're still groggly, and you need to unplug your heater from the wall. Having a hole to guide you not only makes unplugging appliances much safer, but guiding your fingers to a familiar spot should make the whole process much easier as well. Or at least, will convince those who are still likely to pull by grasping the cord to think, "Hey, what's another foot? And it's a hole plug... ah, finneeeee."

While Hole Plug remains a concept for now, it's definitely a great one in our book. We'll keep you guys posted if these begin to go into production anytime soon.
