This Company Will Send a Cardboard Cutout of You To Your Family’s Holiday Dinner

Due to the huge spike in coronavirus cases in recent weeks, the CDC is recommending that families cancel their holiday travel plans (or plans to gather indoors with large groups), and to instead celebrate with their households or pods. All of this means that extended families may not be able to reunite this holiday season. So, in order to make the holidays a bit less lonely, Jose Cuervo is dishing out an opportunity to clone yourself—in cardboard form.

The tequila brand is running a “Doppeldrinker” campaign in which entrants can win a chance at sending a life-size cardboard cutout of themselves home for the holidays. And while it may not be the same as celebrating the holidays with your family in person, it’s pretty funny and will definitely liven your family’s spirits.

“Send your loved ones a Cuervo cocktail-carrying cutout of yourself and celebrate the season together,” the contest page reads. “Your lifelike Cuervo Doppeldrinker will make it feel like you’re with family and friends this season, even if you’re not!”

To enter the Jose Cuervo “Doppeldrinker” contest and win your own cardboard cutout, all you need to do is head over to the contest website and enter your birthday and home state. You’ll then be asked to upload a full-size photo of yourself holding your favorite drink (it doesn’t need to be Jose Cuervo, by the way), and provide the address you’d like your cardboard cutout to be sent.

But make sure you enter the contest soon as the holidays are fast approaching. After all, you don’t want to have your parents celebrating Thanksgiving without your cardboard look-alike, do you?
