Handmade Toddler Farmhouse Bed

Holy handmade bed Batman! You may find the idea of building a bed for your child terrifying but this Mom scaled down some plans from Ana White (Mommy carpenter extraordinaire) and made a toddler-size farmhouse bed with canopy. How cool?!

Christy can be found at her own corner of the internet at Spoon!. She tells tales of daily life for her family and one such recent event pertains to the building of this beautiful bed! The materials came in around $100, but she says the cost would have been closer to $70 had she decided to paint (instead of staining) earlier on.

We love the look and it could so easily be changed up for the seasons with different swaths of fabric draped over the top of the posts. It's an amazing project that makes a huge impact for very little money and can surely be worked into most budgets as the majority of toddler beds are far pricer than that! Check out more details over at Ana White and Spoon!.
