"Still glorious after all these years" recaps and revisits previous Tribune Glorious Garden winners. The contest was launched in 1997 and this year's winner will be announced in about a month. Before and afters are always great - it is good to see the direction the successful gardeners have taken with their winning outside spaces.

We'd like to step out of our editorial role for a moment to say this to the Tribune (if they are listening): "Hooray for the slideshow! Thank you for putting photos from H&G online! More, please!" ...ok, moving on.

Also from H&G this week:

What's In Store: Deals can be found in departing Fields departments: Thomas O'Brien, Field's labels (Field Gear, Marshall Field's and Hotel by Marshall Fields) and Designer's Guild (sob! so sad to see it go).

Healthy Kitchen: Equipment found in and tips for creating health-inducing kitchens.

All about Adirondacks : The summer seating option that is a classic lakefront staple. A brief history of the adirondack chair and three sites where you can find out more.

Dishing: Rotisserie chicken as a base for enchiladas and chinese chicken salad.
