Nursery School is an article from Tran on the nursery put together by mural artist Heather Gentile Collins for her first child. The artist had worked on many children's rooms but found that setting up one for her own daughter still held challenges.

In the mural she did at home, she chose to depict familiar country spots; the family's Lake Geneva cottage and an Aunt's farm. Heather and her husband installed cottage style wainscoting to complete the look.

A compliment to the front page article: A list of what to think about when buying a crib was also in this weeks H&G.

Also from H&G this week:

Bravo's Top Design: Todd Oldham is interviewed for the Tribune about the upcoming interior design competition reality show. When asked about his favorite challenge that the designers faced, he said: "One show was really fun to me -- we had a super teeny budget . . . I think I would've won that one. I'm very good at spending 15 cents."

Green Pieces from the Readers: Karen gathers ideas and answers questions from readers on simple eco-conscious steps for dish and clothes washing.

Dishing: Mushrooms are featured in two wintery dishes; grilled chicken in mushroom and bourbon sauce and cream of mushroom risotto with lemon.

Green Bags: Elaine delves into plastic grocery bag alternatives and the facts on reusing the ones you've got.
